Spruel E. Bullock

	Spruel E. Bullock, 85, of Benton, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2002 in his home.
	Mr. Bullock had been a School Teacher, an Electrician at Old Ben 21 and owner and operator of Bullocks Greenhouse.  He was a member of Greenwood Methodist Church.  He was a Financial Secretary for UMWA Local 1124, a long-time School Board Member for Mulkeytown Grade School and Christopher High School and a member of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star.
	He was born January 17, 1917 in Sunfield, the son of Pleas and Mary (Yates) Bullock.  He married Maxine Moore on August 7, 1935 in Pinckneyville and she survives.
	Also surviving are his children, Bill and Donna Bullock of Johnston City, Larry and Sherry Bullock of DuQuoin, Joy and William McClellan of Mt. Vernon and Bobbie and J.T. Ingram of DuQuoin; ten grandchildren, Teresa DalSanto of Mt. Vernon, Sandy Bullock of Atlanta, Ga., Bryan Ingram of Pleasanton, Calif., Chrissy Busch of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Laura Spain of Inverness, Fla., Linaya Alvarez of Tulsa, Okla., Jennifer Benedict of Mt. Vernon, Trevor Bullock of Benton, Tenille Bullock of Johnston City and Courtney Bullock of DuQuoin; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Lionel Bullock of DuQuoin and one sister, Norma Gulley of Benton.
	He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Mike McClellan.
	Funeral services were Tuesday, March 26 at 11 a.m. at Gilbert Funeral Home with David Morgan and Percy Pavloff officiating.  Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
	Friends called at Gilbert Funeral Home on Monday, March 25 after 6 p.m.
